ripples

It’s okay if you don’t feel like it.

It’s okay if you feel heavy.

In order to move forward you must sit in it.

Even if you feel unprepared, you're always ready.

We can’t prepare for lessons not yet learnt!

Some of us try – and still find something to learn.

Detach from what you know.

It’s the only way to grow.

It feels good to think about your dreams,

But they feel pointless when you live with them.

Every action is a pebble tossed into a pond,

and those ripples are  good enough

to move a floating leaf to the other side.

Heavy Storm

Heavy Storm

Rain falling from the sky.

The sound of every drop can be heard.

Like a snare drum playing a righteous tune

bound to a symphony of pain.

The wind hits the window.

Restless gust of souls

trying to open them up.

But they are locked closed

and

nobody can get in,

though thunder bursts

followed by bright lightning

mapping the room.

Showing only for a moment

shattered vases and empty bottles.

The window unlatches.

When it’s opened, sun light shines through,

the sky is blue with puffy white clouds.

Birds chirping, squirrels chasing each other through

branches in a tree nearby,

a red tail hawk in the distance

facing the window.

The hawk flies towards the window,

banks right, and turns its head toward you

take a deep breath.

Breathing in divinity.

Exhaling the storm inside.

The Beauty of Sufferring

You have a lot going on.

The pain can feel unbearable.

You know this journey’s long.

Wanting it all to end is understandable.

The pain is consistent.

There’s no way out.

Stuck in transition,

how could something so quiet!    . . feel so loud?

You have to know this is beautiful.

We might want to suffer.

To our brains it’s natural.

This experience. . . far from original.

It could make us feel insane

but the brain’s design-

to help us survive.

Like our agony is just on another plane.

So breathe through this turbulence!

This is your reminder that you’re alive,

headed to the right coordinates.

So let the sun rise and shine its light,

Give yourself the space for your metamorphosis.

Letting go

Leaves bustling from the wind,

Floating down to the ground,

You are no longer here.

You are strong

You must look up when you feel weak.
Our years are long, yet seconds leak,
Understand the peace you seek.

Anxious heart and stalling mind,
Restless for the time you’ll find,
Enough! Leave the "what-ifs" behind.

Sadness builds no bridge to cross.
Take the step, despite the loss.
Run toward the fear you face,
Own your path and claim your space.
Now is the time to break the seal,
GO! And make the vision real.

delay due to closed roads

You're questioning whether you should be here.

That's natural.

You don't know if you can make it and you keep trying and trying– and trying. . .

You might even think your lying,

to yourself about being capable of doing this thing you think you could do, you thought you could do.

It might be true, no.

None of us took our first steps on our first try, and it turns out getting things right the first time is actually hurtful to us because it robs us of the opportunity to analyze and adjust our eyes to pay attention to what needs corrections, then try again.

Because in the end, there isn't any. You want to do it? Cool.

Fail! Fail again Fail again, again and again.

But do me one small big favor–please!

Once you realize that you slammed into the same wall 2, 3, a thousand times. Acknowledge that, accept it, because it happened. Change your approach and make an adjustment to your perspective,

because you know what they call the expectation of a different result from repeating the same action?

Insanity.

When paving new roads we need to set a detour!

Attempting to use them won't get you far.

Understand this map is large and it takes

time

it is easier to repurpose roads already built,

Maybe that's why we call it beautification when we make new ones with more vegetation.
